Chukwuma Odelugo earned a bachelor's degree in History from Southern University in Louisiana and obtained a solid background in Accounting from the University of Maryland. Mr. Odelugo attended graduate school in Public Administration at Southern University and Louisiana State University. Mr. Odelugo earned his Juris Doctor from the Washington College of Law, American University in Washington, D.C. While in law school, Mr. Odelugo served on the Washington College of Law Administrative Law Journal and also as a judicial intern for the Honorable John Garret Penn, former Chief Judge of the United States District Court for the District of Columbia.

In 1990, Mr. Odelugo was admitted to practice law in the District of Columbia and later in the State of Maryland. After admission to the bar, Mr. Odelugo worked as an Attorney-Advisor at the District of Columbia Department of Finance and Revenue and later as a Tax Law Specialist at the Employee Pension and Exempt Organizations Division for the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) in Washington, D.C. While at the IRS, Mr. Odelugo's employee performance was for two consecutive years rated "Outstanding," the highest performance evaluation a government employee could receive. Mr. Odelugo subsequently served as a Special Assistant United States Attorney at the United States Attorney's Office in Washington, D.C.

Mr. Odelugo left the U.S. Attorney's Office to enter the private practice of law in Washington, D.C., as a sole practitioner under ODELUGO & ASSOCIATES, PLLC. Mr. Odelugo is a highly experienced personal injury lawyer on behalf of those suffering personal injuries as the result of automobile accidents or other types of accidents, or those injured due to medical malpractice. Mr. Odelugo has represented personal injury and medical malpractice clients from all areas in DC and MD.

Mr. Odelugo also defended individuals charged with all types of crimes, including felonies and misdemeanors. Mr. Odelugo has represented those charged with crimes from murder to shoplifting, from embezzlement to assault, from drunk driving to drug offenses, and nearly every other crime imaginable.
